The Ohio Veterans and Fraternal Charitable Coalition (OVFCC) announced today that its members, utilizing its Charitable Video Raffle Program, raised over $2.6 Million for charity in the state of Ohio over the past 15 months, with more than half of that amount donated to 501(c)(3) community charities.

William Seagraves (pictured above), Executive Director of VFW and Ohio Charities, and the current President of the OVFCC stated, “I am extremely pleased that we were able to exceed our expectations and allow the VFW and other veterans and fraternal organizations to increase the amount of charitable donations of the amounts raised in previous years.

“We were hoping we could find a way to increase our donations to make up for the losses we suffered as a result of the Internet cafes and sweepstakes parlors,” Seagraves continued.  “We are hopeful that the General Assembly will act soon to help us raise even more money for charity in the future.”

The OVFCC members include the VFW Department of Ohio, the American Legion Department of Ohio, AMVETS Department of Ohio, the Loyal Order of Moose, the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the Ohio Council of Fraternal, Veterans and Service Organizations.  Over two million Ohioans are members of these organizations.

Update: OVFCC Organizations have now raised in excess of $2.725 Million for Ohio Charities!  Please visit the OVFCC website to watch that number continue to grow!
